Rifora - Privacy Policy

Short version

Rifora keeps the list of your household supplies on your phone and nowhere else. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours. We do not receive, read or store your products, your prices or your habits. The only data that leaves your device is what Google’s advertising SDK (AdMob) needs in order to show ads.

What stays on your device

Everything you put into Rifora is written only to the storage of your phone:

• the products you track: name, category, icon, location and notes;
• when you opened a pack and when you finished it, and the resulting history of cycles;
• your spare stock, minimum stock level and expiry dates;
• unit costs and purchase history;
• your settings (language, theme, currency, reminder days).

There is no cloud sync, no login and no analytics SDK. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted with it.

Backups you create yourself

The export function writes a JSON file with your products and settings. You choose where it goes - Drive, e-mail, phone storage - and from that moment it is under your control and under the privacy policy of whatever service you send it to. The import function reads such a file back. We never see either file.

Notifications

Rifora can remind you before a product runs out. Reminders are scheduled locally by Android on your device. No notification goes through a server of ours, and no push service is used.

Advertising (AdMob)

Rifora is free and is paid for by ads served by Google AdMob. To show ads, Google’s SDK may collect and process:

• the advertising identifier of the device (Advertising ID);
• approximate, coarse information derived from the IP address (such as country);
• technical information about the device and the app (model, operating system version, app version, language);
• interactions with the ads themselves (impressions, clicks).

This processing is done by Google as an independent controller. We do not receive this data, and we do not combine it with anything you store in Rifora. Google’s own privacy policy applies:

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time from the Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads), which limits ad personalisation.

Permissions

Rifora asks for the minimum it needs:

• INTERNET - to load ads;
• AD_ID - the advertising identifier used by AdMob;
• notification permission - only if you enable reminders.

Rifora does not ask for location, contacts, microphone, camera or file access.

Children

Rifora is not directed to children. It is intended for a general audience of people who manage a household. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Your rights

Because we do not hold any of your data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete: everything is on your phone and under your control (delete a product, clear the app data, or uninstall the app). For the data processed by Google for advertising, please use Google’s own controls linked above.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the legal basis for the advertising processing is your consent where required, and legitimate interest for non-personalised advertising and for the security of the service.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated. Material changes will also be described in the release notes of the app on Google Play.
