Latenta (“the app”) is a film photography logbook published by AppVita Studio. It helps you track your film rolls, frames, exposure notes and development times. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
Everything you enter in the app - rolls, film stocks, frame counts, shot notes, apertures and shutter speeds, development times, gear, spending and any location you attach to a shot - is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage.
We do not collect it, we do not transmit it, we do not share it and we have no servers that receive it. There is no account and no registration.
The only time this data leaves your device is when you choose to export or share it (backup, CSV export or the share sheet): in that case you decide where it goes.
If you turn on geotagging, the app asks for permission to read your device location and stores the coordinates of a shot on your device only, next to that shot. The coordinates are never sent to us or to anyone else.
You can refuse the permission: the rest of the app keeps working normally, only the geotag is left empty. You can revoke the permission at any time in the Android settings.
Latenta is free and is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob.
To serve ads, Google may collect and process:
This processing is carried out by Google as an independent data controller, according to its own policies:
No photography data you enter in the app - and no GPS coordinates you attach to your shots - is ever shared with the advertising network. The two things are kept completely separate.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows you a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform before any ad is loaded. You choose whether to allow personalised advertising.
If you do not give consent, no ads are requested at all.
You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app.
The app can remind you to develop a roll. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no notification passes through our servers, because we have none. You can refuse or revoke the notification permission at any time.
We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any of your photography data. We use no analytics SDK of our own.
The app is not directed to children. It is intended for users aged 18 and over.
Since your data never leaves your device, you are in full control of it:
For anything concerning advertising data processed by Google, you can exercise your rights directly with Google through the links in section 3.
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date at the top of this page changes with it, and the new version is published at this same address.
